Energy Efficiency

Maximum energy efficiency can be achieved with the use of condenser boilers, A+ rated appliances and washing lines. Renewable energy can easily be provided through solar energy, wind turbines and ground source heat pumps.

Recycling

Encourage optimum recycling with dedicated recycling space, internal containers for food waste and external boxes for packaging.

At ADC, we understand the importance of light in homes. We maximise natural light and solar heat gains through carefully-placed glazing and specify high levels of low-energy lighting.

Water

Water usage is an integral element to a sustainable development. We encourage the re-use of roof water by the specification of grey water and irrigation systems. We also design to reduce surface run off by a minimum of 50%.

Through considered design of the building surroundings we maximise the ecological value of a site. We encourage contractors to use sustainable construction techniques by providing a Site Waste Management Statement to detail on-site recycling systems.
